Nice and big (for a bachelor, anyway), and works just fine. Unlike my previous cooker, the ceramic pot is easy to clean. The old one absorbed food and then oozed it out forever. Gak. My use of it is limited to soups and stews, which it cooks just fine. Being a vegan, I can’t comment on how it works with pig snouts or cow brains.
This is a great appliance! With the proper receipes, I can fix it and forget it!! Dinner has never been easier!
I guess I didn’t realize it didn’t come with, or didn’t realize how much I would need, an automatic timer (that shuts the whole thing off when the pre-set cooking time has been reached). What’s the point of having something cook while you’re away if you have to plan to be home at a certain time to shut it off? My next crock pot will *definitely* have an automatic timer!
The slow cooker worked well the first time I used it. The second time, the light turned on, but it never heated up. I was disappointed, because the size was perfect for me. I’ll try another brand.
the crockpot seems alright for the price but not as good as I expected. It is rather large and definitely can feed more than 4-6 people. i made beef stew first in it and it didn’t come out as well as I expected, even tho I followed a recipe for time, ingredients, etc. this crockpot is also available at stores like walmart for less so I’d recommend just getting one from there and saving on shipping & time.
