Emile Henry Flame Top 2.6 Quart Tagine Red
I ordered this tagine on March 5 and it arrived on March 6 – hard to believe right? It was packed in a huge box surrounded by bubble wrap and enclosed in another box but the base was broken in a million pieces. Maybe it is the same tagine that another customer received – also broken.
Now I have to get this huge box to some local carrier – what a disappointment
Received the first Tagine with the bottom smashed. I figured it was a fluke, returned it and ordered a replacement. Received the second one, again, the bottom was smashed. I will never order anything fragile from Amazon again.
I have wanted a tagine for a long time and my wonderful sister sent one to me for my birthday this year. I was so excited when I opened the last of the three packing boxes to see what I had received, only to find that the bottom ceramic piece was broken to bits. I was sorry to tell my sister that her gift had been shattered during shipment!! Amazon was great about sending a replacement right away, and opening the box I was getting excited to start cooking, only to find the same broken bottom piece!!! Amazon is sending a gift card in lieu of another replacement. What I want is a tagine, not something else from Amazon. PLEASE figure out how to securely pack the BOTTOM piece of this item so you don’t have anymore disappointed customers!!!
I received this item in a giant box within another box within another box and it was completely shattered. I was really disappointed that they went through all that trouble to triple box it but did not provide any padding for it on the bottom where it was most likely to break. Will not buy breakables from amazon ever again.
I have never been so impressed by a Amazon seller shipping speed as this one.
I ordered on a Tuesday at 10:30 in the morning. At 12:30 the same day, I received shipping confirmation by email with FedEx tracking number. Which was actually logged into the FedEx system when I looked.
This was standard free shipping. I received the item today (Thursday)4 days earlier than the Amazon estimated delivery. The box was banged up from shipping and I thought. “Oh no..” but inside it was very well packed. From previous comments about shipping and breakage, I think the supplier has solved that problem as mine was very packed..and the box showed it took some shipping damage and arrived intact.
I’m still amazed at the speed they shipped. Placed order Tuesday..got product Thursday with standard shipping.
