Hi: I just received the Butterball Turkey Fryer but I don’t know what kind of oil to use. Peanut oil is so expensive I hoped something else would work just as well. Also, what is the biggest Turkey that I can safely use. Thanks. Jan
I cooked 2 turkeys before Thanksgiving. One was a test and one for real. They were both great. I was concerned cooking inside with all I have seen with the outside fryers. It was great not one drop of oil anywhere in my kitchen. The turkeys were moist and the taste was wonderful. My son-in-law does not like turkey but said it was really good. The cooking time was good going by 3min. per pound plus 5 minutes on the first, better timing on the second 4 min. per pound plus 5 min. was perfect.
Wish they made a smaller unit for everyday use. I would recommend this fryer to everyone. Very easy and great taste.
First of all, I was excited about the price I paid and the quick delivery. Once I opened the box, I was impressed with the appearance of the Fryer. It has a sleek design that looks good in the kitchen. Setup was quick and the product worked just as described. We got a turkey cooked to perfection with all the taste from cooking outdoors without the mess or danger.

we really enjoyed using this fryer for our thanksgiving turkey. the turkey took 46mins to fry and it was sooo moist. I now think there will not be any more oven baked turkeys for us.

I just wanted to say it is a great product and Amazon.com came through with shipment time even though it was a split shipment both arrived the same day. One shipper was USPS and the other FedX. I had one inquiry to Amazon and the response was fast and accurate.
