Despite all the bright-colored, high-tech silicone kitchen utensils out these days, there’s nothing quite like the good old-fashioned feel of wood for cooking needs. Crafted from solid beech wood, this strong 12-1/2-inch spoon is ideal for stirring thick stews or mixing oatmeal chocolate chip cookie dough. A natural oil finish protects the wooden spoon without contaminating food, and the give of wood means the spoon is safe for nonstick cookware. 1. Order this as a replacement. Decent quality one would expect from an OXO utensil.

  2. It’s a wooden spoon…how much review can it get…I stir things with it…it works.

  3. Very sturdy wooden spoon…. not much to write…. very good quality.

  4. Strong and nice looking spoons. These are stronger that most and have held up well.

  5. Ok … so I may not be a wood working expert, but I think I am a fairly accomplished cook. I think this spoon is great! I was apprehensive about ordering it due to some of the really negative reviews, but I took a chance & am so glad I did. This spoon is a heavy-weight and seems to be well made. The size is perfect for my needs … I can’t imagine getting one any larger than this one. Granted I’ve only used it and hand washed it several times, but I see no wear and tear as of yet. If I find the spoon isn’t durable in time, then I’ll come back and edit this review. In the meantime, if you’re looking for a nice, sturdy, heavy wooden spoon at a great price … then look no further. I don’t believe you’ll be disappointed.
