Progressive International Egg Slicer
I was skeptical at first but was sold after I boiled a dozen eggs and tried every type of slice. Of course, you don’t want to slice the eggs when they are piping hot. Wait for them to cool down. You’ll get the hang of it pretty quickly! If you “bear down on the egg” roughly you can destroy the slices. Slice gently. It helps to put one hand on the egg as a support, while your other hand is coming down to slice it. You may need to pull the egg up with one hand for a cleaner wedge cut while the other hand is slicing. If this looks vague in writing, all you have to do is try it and it’ll make sense. Perfect for deviled eggs, garnishing, etc. You’ll be an egg-xpert slicer in no time!
I have the same item with Martha Stewart’s name on it, but same design, same construction. One of the grids has already fallen out, I stuck it back in and out it came again. It’’s all but impossible to get clean with bits sticking down in the yellow grids. The idea for dicing is great but the construction is poor – it’s going right back. Save your money. I only gave it one star because I couldn’t give it none.
This big contraption is the best egg slicer that I’ve owned. It does about anything you want to a boiled egg that you can imagine except peel it. I especially love the dicing feature which is great for egg salad. I like the little chunks it slices it into. Another great feature is the 6 slice cut this is good slice for eggs you put in salads. my last egg slicer was black and got lost in my utensil drawer but this one is always easy to find.
This egg slicer is extraordinary. I purchased it for my son but when it arrived I wanted it for myself! It is sturdy and slices, wedges, halves, and dices hard cooked eggs. It’s a salad maker’s dream.
I absolutely love this product!! Everything is done in one quick chop. Whether you are halving, quartering or dicing! One quick flip of blade and you can do it all. I make egg salad and it only takes a few minutes to finely dice eggs for perfect salad. Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to save time in the kitchen.
