One of Rösle’s superb kitchen tools, this 9-inch garlic press minces even unpeeled cloves of garlic with a cunningly engineered lever mechanism that requires minimal pressure. 1. What a disappointment, this was supposed to be the best garlic-press available, yet upon pressing just the second clove of garlic it bent, slightly yes, but now the snap-close feature no longer works so when it is hung on a hook it falls open. If it cost $10-$15 I would probably keep it as it does do a great job of pressing garlic and it is easy to clean but at $35 I expect it to be prefect. So I am returning it. It is truly a shame as if they just made it with slightly thicker steel it probably would be the finest press available. Depressing.

  2. Three things recommend this press (and the extra money it costs):

    1. It is the easiest press to clean I’ve owned.

    2. It feels solid in your hand and is the sturdiest press I’ve owned.

    3. It is the most comfortable press I’ve owned.

I recently bought a second one for my son-in-law in South Africa.

  3. Pressing whole cloves of garlic with ease is no longer an unattainable dream for the many weak-fisted people of the world. This press works with wonderful ease.

It’s expensive in comparison to a lot of others out there. Buy the best garlic press ever and you will never need to replace it, ever.

  4. I bought this garlic press some time ago, and have gotten consistently good use out of it.

I’ve heard it said that there’s a better one out there by Kuhn Rikon, but from what I’ve seen of the design, I’m better off with this one, since every other garlic press I’ve tried with that design managed to pinch my fingers.

The design of this one by Rösle makes it almost impossible to pinch your fingers when pressing the garlic through, and it really does a nice job, so I’m content.

  5. This is absolutely the best garlic press available on the market and worth every penny. Great design, heft and feel. Easy to use and clean…others don’t come close. After I purchased it I found I already had Rosle’s can opener….also a great product.
