Cake ideas galore. Will try some for different occasions. Some instructions repetitive…more pages I guess! Good for all levels of bakers. So many cakes…so many more stretch marks.
I love it! Although it has some recipes from the first book, they are improved in method or ingredients. I has a lot of wonderful new recipes, it’s very easy to read and the cakes are very easy to make with items we usually have on hand. It even has a recipe for a wedding cake, which I’m sure it tastes great, the only thing is that it doesn’t have any inner support, so just be carefull!!
I had bought this product for several family members and friends and decided I needed one of my own.
I have the original Cake Doctor book and love it, but had heard that her more recent books had forgone the pictures. I am happy to report this edition has photos of all the cakes!
I read in the introduction that Anne has lightened up many of the recipes by calling for half the butter or cream. This pleases me, as some of the cakes in her former books were too rich for my taste. Can’t wait to try out the recipes in this book!
The Cake Doctor is one of the best for that quick homemade cake. Even the grand children are using it. Thanks
